  • “There is a certain poetic element in the scenes I choose to paint.
My memories and impressions – that have lingered or been just recently observed –
push forward from an inner place that holds such sentimental moments and feelings.
Memorable impressions that linger on, or are, more recently, observed –
all slightly touched with an imaginative tweak or an appreciative nod.
As a result, the paintings are spirited with a vibrant palette,
yet the peaceful presence of that special time and place
flows onto the canvas without interruption.
A universal adage for all artists to underscore, as they select what they wish to
    paint is —
paint what you know – your experiences, your sources of fascination.”
